Located 85 km north-east of the airport, Candidasa is a relaxing beach area close to cultural treasures like Pura Besakih (“Bali’s Mother Temple”) While the beach is not one of Bali’s best, the tranquility of Candidasa has attracted a number of exclusive hotels like the Amankila and the Chedi. Candidasa is most often compared to Kuta as Kuta was some 20 years ago. The comparison has some merit -Candidasa is a small village with few inhabitants on the beach with a several- mostly inexpensive hotels that cater to the more adventurous tourists looking for a more laid back atmosphere to explore the cultural heritage of Bali. Being some 85 km from the airport ensures some tranquility, however as more people discover that there is quite a bit to see and do in Candidasa the area is developing rapidly with many first class hotels now sprouting up.

Sukawati area is known for its art market that become ‘a must see’ place by tourists especially the local ones from Jakarta or other area in Java. Huge number of small stalls occupied the two stories building offer a lot of cheap souvenirs. Ubud
Ubud is Bali’s cultural heart. This area is located in the cool mountains, just one hour’s drive north of the airport and the resorts of southern Bali, this traditional country town is the home of the Balinese Royal family and a flourishing arts centre. Most of Bali’s museums and galleries are centered in Ubud, but culture and history rich Bali is peppered with museums and galleries. These museums and galleries offer paintings, woodcarvings, textiles and all kinds of souvenirs for viewing and also purchase. Puri Lukisan Museum in centre of Ubud, Neka Museum in Campuhan, Seniwati Gallery and Agung Rai Museum in Pengosekan is a must, to see the difference between creative art and more commercial products.

Tanjung Benoa
Just North of the Nusa Dua complex, takes one onto the narrow Peninsula of land, which terminates in the small village of Benoa. From the concrete pier, you can see over the Serangan Island, lying low on the water. From the fishing village, people can depart daily by the Cruise ship. Out in the bay, is an anchorage for ocean-going yachts and the Bali International Yachts Club also has a base here

Sanur Beach
On the Eastern coastline, sheltered by the coral reef, the waves here are much gentler than other areas of Bali. Sanur is a multitude of contrasts. As in the past, Fisherman still wander the beach and the colorful outrigger canoes can be hired for sailing trips along the coast and to outlying islands. In the last two decades the once sleepy village of Sanur has become an elite international resort, with huge hotel complexes offering first class accommodations and every modern facility to visiting tourists.


Nusa Lembongan
This small island is one of the most a popular destinations for day trippers from Bali. The trips can takes about one and two hours from the Badung strait, depending on whether you sail or motor boat. One of the main attractions of the island is diving and snorkeling, with amazing corals, and tropical colorful fishes, crystal clear water and white sandy beaches. Lembongan’s large neighboring island, Nusa Penida has a somewhat more ominous reputation and less popular.

Padang Padang
Located a few kilometers north of the ancient temple of Uluwatu, facing the vast Indian Ocean. From the parking area, one must descend down stairs and pass through long narrow gap of cliff before reaching the wide beach area. The sea water here is crystal clear and the large waves make it one of the best places for surfing in all of Bali, as surfing lovers throughout the world have already discovered.
Kuta Beach
This area was once a poor fishing village with a black history of lepers and magic practitioners. Soon after,Kuta began to provide what visitors wanted and now the area has become a key point on the route from India through Southeast Asia to Australia. One of the primary attractions of this area is the long sweep of white sand along Kuta’s picturesque bay.
A visit to Bali without the Kuta experience is not complete. The famous Kuta sunset, where one can enjoy a tranquil, balmy atmosphere along the coastline is stunning. There is a wide selection of hotels and bungalows, the nightlife is hot, and cuisines of all types abound. There are also many recreation and sports facilities as well as children’s playgrounds.
Jimbaran Beach
Jimbaran Beach. This area is just south of Kedonganan Beach and has a very beautiful white sand beach area and clear sea water that is suitable for recreation and relaxation. It is quieter than its neighboring beaches and one will find nice hotels and mostly seafood restaurants. Jimbaran is , in fact, famous for its delicious seafood with Jimbaran’s “secret sauceâ€. You’ve got to taste it to believe it. Mainly seafood, particularly its typical grilled seafood.
Tulamben Dive
Approximately 1.5 hour from Badung north of Padang Bay. There is most popular diving site or snorkeling in Bali. A shipwreck and a drop-off accessible from the beach offer easy access to colorful under water world. The magnificent coral viewing , also notorious for shark, rays and a wide variety of beautiful fish life. Diving courses are also available.
